Killer Klowns in Outer Space 

We start in a police car with a officer named Kurt Mooney roaming through the streets and hew reports of friday night starting then we cut to a ice cream van with Rich and Paul the ice cream men trying to pull two ladies at crescent cove. while there plan dose not work the teens at lovers lane notice a hateise comet fly across the sky. the comet lands on a old farmers property which he sees. when he checks it out it is actually not hateise comet it is a circus. while investigating the tent of the circus a mysterious hand kidnaps the farmers dog poo bear. after he realises this he is shocked to see a giant clown who murders the farmer with a space like weapon. it seems that the two main characters are a young man and a young woman woman who go to find the comet. when instead they find the circus tent with strangely the door open. As they travel through the circus they come to realise that it is not a circus but it is the comet which is a UFO. 

As the young man travels with the young lady they come across a room with so called candy. he investigates it thinking it is candy floss but it is actually cocoons of dead humans . as they investigate the ship they get chased by a killer klown. as they escape the clown they lead the clowns to their town. as the teens try and tell the police of course they dont believe them but the woman knows one of the officers named Dave who she used to date and they ask him to try and help them. while this is all happening the killer klowns are killing any body they see including when a biker destroys a clowns bike then the klown punches his head off. The klowns are trying to take as many victims as they can.

we head back to the police as many people start to ring the police about the killer klowns, after we go to the main woman's house as she is getting ready for the shower we notice that the popcorn actually moves and kills people and we witness this next when a bag of popcorn actually kills a worker for a kids party. 

as Dave and Michael ( the main male character) search for the clowns they unfortunately find one who kills 5 innocent  people. as Dave witnesses this he heads straight back to the police station to find huge red foot prints on the floor which is the clowns as the clown has just knocked out moody in the station. as Dave heads through the cells he notices more cotton candy in the room and finds out officer moody has been killed because the clown uses Moody's body as a puppet. as the clown tries to kill him he shoots it in the nose which actually kills the clown so he has found their weakness

we go back to the heroin or the woman character of the film who the clowns have tracked down and  kidnapped her as mike and Dave tried to save her. they follow the clowns to ironically a amusement park where they have taken the woman 

they enter the amusement park to find yet again the circus tent which is the clowns mothership and mike realises that they have been here before as it is exactly like the first tent where they discovered the killer clowns

as they fight of hordes of clown they finally meet the big boss and he attacks the main characters so Dave tries to distract the big clown. as Mike and Debbie ( The female character ) run from the tent. 

Dave runs out of ammo on both weapons and gets grabbed by the big clown and out of a burst of improvisation he uses his police badge to stab the nose of the big clown. when the big clown explodes the ship explodes and a car falls out from the ship and Dave is inside it. at the end of the film Debbie asks " is it over " which then 3 pies are thrown at the main characters heads so it is a cliff hanger for a sequel.

In my opinion after watching this thing which is somehow called a film it is just awful and it didn't bore me it shocked me how bad it was because the main actors couldn't act as the best actors was the clowns and it wasn't funny or scary which is the point of the film. my teacher Wayne said and i quote "The film is like a virus it just grows on you"

There is many different opinions of video games and Gamers saying that people who play games are just wasting their time and are not doing anything with their life but then on the other hand most people that are in my generation and some older say that gaming is not a waste of time but can actually benefit the person playing them in the form of reaction time and awareness and that some people say that gaming is just like a work of art for entertainment purposes.

The Concern about Playing Time on Games 

one of the main concerns that the media and mainly parents or ( Non Gamers ) are concerned with how much their kids or just people in general are actually playing video games. the reason for this is because the media has mainly aim for the bad side of gaming and saying that it controls you which isn't true in my opinion but that is just me. I get where some parents are coming from as if kids are using so much of their time playing their video games then it can affect the amount of sleep that they get which means how much concentration they are putting into important stuff like education. in extreme cases their have been reports of students not going to school because they are too busy playing video games. studies also show that parents have even gone to extent of neglecting their children one extreme case was when two parents left their children to die because they was too busy playing video games in the internet cafe next to their house.

social isolation 

following on from spending too much time playing games players also put them selves at risk of social isolation when they spend most of their recreational time playing games. this is especially noticeable in console gamers when they can play for hours on end and not have any communication  with the outside world. a gamer who spends so much time alone with no human contact can become withdrawn and will have a negative impact on them and will decrease their ability to socialise with other people however some people say that they are happy playing and making friends with MMORPGS and feel a lot more comfortable just socialising with people with a microphone. in conclusion to this point being able to communicate in a virtual environment is a good thing but definitely should not outweigh socialising with people in the real world.

Cost 

Gaming is a multi billion dollar industry and the costs to the average gamer is rising all of the time. While gaming can be a very healthy hobby it may become problematic if gamers feel the pressure of having all of the newly released games in their preferred genre. Other factors include the need to purchase the latest gaming platforms. With such a wide platform choice such as consoles, pc, hand-held and online games there is increased pressure on the cost of keeping up with the latest greatest gaming technologies. This may put strain on parents who’s children constantly want the latest releases and want to upgrade their platforms every year. But the thing is Cost dose not  necessarily mean in a financial way it also means at like the cost of your health, friends, relationships are also a cost of just playing video games for your entire life so gaming can effect you in some pretty big ways if you let it 

Separation from reality 

Some gamers become so engrossed in games that they actually believe they are part of the virtual world in which the game takes place. This may be an enjoyable experience for some in the likes of an adventure game but it can have negative effects. There are examples of violent games that have made normally passive individuals become violent when they are not playing games. Other examples are people who have committed murders in the form of actions seen in games that they had become addicted to. Although these are very extreme examples the dangers of becoming separated from society and carrying out actions that you have seen in games because you believe this is the norm, it has happened.

Batman Arkam asylum 

Batman Arkam asylum was one of the first games that i played on Xbox and it was amazing. batman arkam asylum is set in Gotham city and crime is at a all time high, Batman has just captured his arch rival The Joker and is taking him to Arkam Asylum. But unknown to Batman The Joker has planned to get captured and later on has taken over Arkam Asylum and him and his girlfriend Harley Quinn and have planted bombs around Gotham and you as Batman must try and stop him from setting the bombs off in Gotham and restore justice.

Splinter Cell Conviction 

Splinter Cell Conviction is about the main character Sam Fischer trying to complete his tasks to find his daughter Sarah. In the early games Sam Fischer is in the National Security Service and finds out that his daughter was killed by a drunk driver. in this game Sam Fischer finds out that his daughter is actually still alive and tries to find out information on where his daughter is. 

Resident evil 4 

Resident evil 4 is about a recently assigned cop named Leon Kennedy who has been assigned to go to a small town in Spain who has been corrupted with the umbrella corps virus which make people into walking zombies who have kidnapped the presidents daughter when you find the presidents daughter Ashley you find out the real reason why the people want the presidents daughter.

The artistic style for Hitman Absolution is photo realism

The SAS rescue the VIP and escape before the plane is destroyed. the call of duty modern warfare game has the artistic style of photo realism as it is based in a war and the designers want to give you the real feel of the war so they have tried to make it as realistic as possible.

LA Noire 

LA Noire is about a world war 2 veteran named Cole Phelps who returns from war to go into the police force and go up the ranks in the force. you play as him solving numerous cases and getting promoted and becoming a well known detective. the game LA Noire has a artistic style of Photo-realism as the have tried to make the environment and the characters and the suits as realistic as they can. 

Mafia 2 

Mafia 2 is a game based around the New York mafia and the main character is a young Italian man named Vito Scaletta as you go through his life and his crimes which led him to serve in the army and then all of his drug shipments and assassinations and smuggling tobacco. as you run through his life you get the ups of the mafia like money and then the down side going to prison while your mum dies and not being able to see your family. the artistic style of the mafia 2 is a photo realistic game which means that they have tried to make it look like the real new your and all the weapons and the suit as realistic as possible.

My Game Review on Splinter Cell  

In this blog i will be giving my opinion/review on the classic franchise  made from Tom Clancy called Splinter Cell. I will be looking at the Positives and the Negatives of the game and then be giving my personal opinion on the series.

Splinter Cell Stealth Action Redefined 

the first instalment of the Splinter Cell series was made back in 2002 on the 17th of November and it was a stealth Single player TPS( Third Person Shooter) The plot follows Sam Fisher as he investigates a terrorist group called "The Shadows" and a related arms-dealing organisation named "The Shop." The positives of this game was it was one of very few TPS's that was all in stealth and it was one of those games that once you start playing it then you struggle a lot to stop. the game graphics for the time was actually quite good with the facial features of Sam Fischer was good and the quality of the guns and enemies was very realistic for at the time that the game was made. also the story was very gripping as you try to find information about the group called "The Shadows" and you get to eliminate the enemies in so many different ways like you could drag them behind the corner that you are on and take the enemy out. Tho are many positives to the game their are also many flaws or negatives with the game. the main problem with this game is that the AI enemies in the game would always start walking into walls so it would never really be a challenge and you could just take them out with ease which to be honest kind of ruins the point of the main idea of Splinter Cell which is "Stealth".

Splinter Cell Double Agent 

The next instalment in the splinter cell series that i played was Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent which is an action-adventure stealth video game, developed and published by Ubisoft. The game follows Third Echelon Splinter Cell Sam Fisher as he assigned to go undercover as a convicted felon in order to infiltrate a domestic terror organisation called John Brown's Army (JBA). the positives and the things that i like about this game is mainly the choices in this game. in double agent the whole point of the game is to do what you want to do. so in the story you work for the national security service but you can also work for the terrorist group called John Browns Army (JBA). so this gives you a bit of creativity to the game instead of just following orders and sticking to one story line you can actually follow more then one path so you are the one who decides what happens in the game and it is just a great feeling when for once you get to decide if your the good guy or the bad guy. the things that i find that are bad is that the bots on the game it was very easy to run away from so if they saw you killing one of the friends you could just ru past them and you could hide behind a wall and they would completely forget you was there and that you have just killed there friend.

Splinter Cell Blacklist 

Blacklist again features Sam Fisher, who is now the spymaster and commander of the newly installed Fourth Echelon and Sam Fisher is leaving Andersen Air Force Base when a terrorist organisation assaults the base, wounding Paladin Nine Security co-worker and best friend Victor Coste. Soon afterwards a faction known as the Engineers takes responsibility, announcing a series of attacks on the United States, the titular Blacklist, which will continue until the U.S. recalls its troops deployed abroad. the aim of the game is to be Sam Fischer and to try and stop the terrorist group "The Engineers and stop the blacklist from coming into place. the positives of this game are that they have sorted out the AI bots so that they actually seem realistic and when you get spotted instead of running away and then they forget who you are they are actually are alert of that you are near and they will all try and shoot you on sight the next time they see you so it actually makes the art of "stealth " are actually relevant in the game. the negatives of this game in my opinion was the story because it was really predictable. the start terrorist group attacks main character Sam Fischer and then the end Sam Fischer finishes the mission and the game ends on a cliff hanger of the two main characters .

artistic styles in Video Games  

In this blog i am going to be explaining and analysing the different Artistic styles in video games and will be saying what they are and  why they are needed for the certain game.

1) Photo -Realism  

      

Photo realism is a form of art style that its purpose is to be a image/picture that is computer generated but is as real as a real life picture so it is made to make the user feel like he/she is playing in real life so they feel like they are there. in this picture here it is one of the main characters in the game GTA V. as you can see in the pictures the designers have used photo-realism by making the game as realistic as possible. the setting is in Los Angeles and you can tell that it is as it looks very realistic.

2) Exaggeration 

Exaggeration is a art style that in games when designers have tried to do the complete opposite of realism and have tried to well exaggerate certain features like eyes, lips, cheeks, hair and other features that are noticeable. In this game of Naruto which as you can see in the top left hand corner of the screen they have really exaggerated his face like the cheek bones and the eyes have been enlarged. This is a very creative art style and a lot of people play it  because of the pretty colours and the cool animations and they do not really expect realistic game play as anime games are more imaginary.

3)  Abstraction 

Abstraction in gaming arts style can be also described as geometry as in 3D shapes and other shapes like squares  and triangles and uses these shapes to make a creative and imaginative vibe for the game. in this image of the right it shows the classic game of Tetris which is one of many prime examples of abstraction. all this game uses is just simple shapes and the objective of the game is to fill the gaps with the correct shapes and try and to make lines with them to earn points. this gives the player the feel of a challenge and very colourful and should give the player a light mood.

Pixel Art 

The term pixel art is kind of in the name, it is basically games that use pixels (squares) to illustrate their imagination into the form of a game. mostly pixel art games are usually platformers as they are the most simple games to make but there have been FPS (First Person Shooter) that have been made in the art style of pixel art. in this image on the right it shows a game called fist of Awesome Texan who has been attacked by deers and bears and you only use your bare hands. the feel o it makes you feel so many and it is very creative on how they have finished

MY GAMING PLATFORMS THEN VS NOW 

in this blog i will be comparing the differences to the old consoles like the Game boy Advanced and the NES ( Nintendo Entertainment System ) compared to the newer consoles like the XBOX 1 and the PS4 ( Playstation 4 ).

MY FIRST EVER GAMES CONSOLE 

My first ever games console was the Game boy Advanced which was released in March in 2001 and i had gotten it for my birthday the next year in 2002 on the 16th of May and it was Amazing. it was like this big blue machine in my hands that just was so cool and back in them times was the first ever hand held game device and it was mind blowing. since it had been a year loads of games came out for the game boy but the one game that i had that was by far the best was Metroid fusion which was made in February 2003 and it was so fun. it was a platformer but also a shooter game and this game really got me into gaming and it has made me so interested in how we have evolved in the gaming industries and how kids these days takes it for granted.

THE GAMES CONSOLES/GAMES I PLAY NOW 

Alot has changed since 2002 and a lot of games consoles has been created like the Nintendo DS and the 3DS and the PC has improved massively so i have been influenced by a lot of games consoles so i unfortunately do not play the Game boy Advanced i now play the PS4 (play-station 4 ) which is just mind blowing. the graphics are now running at 1080p  (1080 pixels )  and  every game you get on the PlayStation 4 are just beautiful and inspiring . the PlayStation 4 has actually inspired me to do level 3 in games development because i want to learn how to make the video games that i have loved as a kid all the way up to now so i can carry on the legacy of Gaming. 

COMPARING THE TWO CONSOLES I HAD/HAVE 

Resolution 

The resolution is how many lines, dots or pixels that the device can produce. the game boy advance isn't really a high resolution games console with a resolution at 240x160 which is not very good at all compared to the games consoles that we have now with the Playstation 4 has which has a resolution of 1080p with 60 frames per second which is amazing and Godly compared to the Gameboy advance.

Game format 

the formats between the Gameboy advance and the Playstation 4 are very different to each other but it just proves how much technology has improved since 2001. the Gameboy game format was little cartridges that you would place into the bottom of the hand held console but the annoying thing was that they would get really dusty so you would always have to blow into the cartridges and at the bottom of the Gameboy device to get it working again. on the other hand there is the PS4

( Playstation 4) which is not compatible with game cartridges instead they use disks and you just place it into the system and it will run all the data off the disk.

Controller Type

the Gameboy advance technically dose not have a controller on the system because the controls are on the system with the A and B buttons on the right side of the system and the D-pad and then the classic L and R at the back of the system. but the PS4 has wired or wireless controller which ever you prefer with the buttons on the controller the classic A and B buttons with a added Y and X and then it has two analogue sticks and the the classic L and R button with the added L2 and R2 at the back of the controller 

Internet /WiFi

the Gameboy advance dose not have WiFi or internet on it because gaming was not that far developed yet but the PS4 is the complete opposite of that. everyone usually who has a PS4 uses online or internet to play with other people around the world of with there friends.

Sound 

the sound on the Gameboy was that you could only hear what was coming out of the speaker at the back of the device.But the PS4 has the capability to have speakers connect to it by blue             tooth obviously you can have it through the TV and there is even sound in the controller which is awesome.
